Soteriology: Study Guide

In every language the term soteriology refers specifically to the study of Christ's work in bringing lost humanity back to God. This study covers the origin of salvation, its provision, its application, and its goal. This work expresses the supreme mission of Jesus: He did not come first of all to teach, to preach, or to heal — He came to seek and to save the lost (Luke 19:10). It is God's only remedy for human sin and separation from God. How important, then, to strive to understand salvation as fully as we can, so that we may teach and preach with greater power.
