Let us learn that the story of the cross expresses Christ's complete obedience. Jesus left us a model of perfect obedience — an obedience that, though accompanied by pain and suffering, did not keep him from carrying out the Father's will. He obeyed the Father and gave his life for us on the cross, and the story of love reaches its height through the cross.
