There is much that is admirable in Iranian society: a strong emphasis on family, respect for the elderly, and generous hospitality.  

Yet the nation bears deep wounds from the current war and recent collective trauma, as well as from long-term oppression. Society faces serious challenges such as drug addiction, abuse, widespread financial hardship, and a rising divorce rate. Let us pray that those who are suffering may find His peace.
