The ideal for a new believer is that an older Christian disciples them from day one. It is best if this can happen face to face. 

However, in Iran there are countless new believers who all need discipling. The relatively few trained church leaders cannot personally disciple them all. The whole church needs to be involved. 

That's why Elam has devised "Safar," a one-to-one discipleship journey for new believers, which can be used ideally face-to-face, or online, or over the phone.
