Martyrs: the ultimate price

The eight pictured Christian leaders have been murdered in Iran since the 1979 revolution because of their witness. Their martyrdoms underline the need to pray against the Islamic law of apostasy (abandonment of Islam), which demands the death sentence for any male "apostate" from Islam, and life imprisonment for women in most schools of Islamic thought. Most members of Iran's growing house churches are deemed to be "apostates."

Prayer Points
Christians to preach boldly despite the risk.
New believers to continue to be inspired by the witness of the martyrs.
Families of martyrs to be comforted by the Holy Spirit.
