After my boss learned that I am a Christian, she treated me poorly—sometimes she wouldn’t even respond when I spoke to her. Because of how hard it became I changed jobs. Some time later I found out she had gotten a divorce and wasn’t allowed to see her children.
She had lost her salon, her wealth—everything she once boasted in.
Through a mutual friend she was invited to our Weekly Fellowship. When we met and made eye contact, all I could say was, “You need Jesus.” She paused and burst into tears. In that meeting God’s presence filled her heart with peace and she gave her heart to Jesus Christ.
She said she hadn’t left the house for months and felt deeply alone. I told her, “You are now a daughter of God and part of His family. Come to Weekly Fellowship—please don’t stay alone.”
We all prayed for her in unity. I believe that through being together she can pass through this hard season better and more easily.
