Praise God for His wonders! A sister in our Weekly Fellowship group had long asked for prayer for a neighbour who had been bedridden for three years. No doctor had been able to help, no medicine worked; he couldn’t recognise anyone. About two weeks ago we held our Weekly Fellowship at that sister’s house on the theme “The God Who Sends.” The message was about Peter and John going up to the temple to pray and the paralysed man who was healed by the power of Jesus’ name. After the message from Weekly Fellowship, they asked me to go and visit the sick neighbour.
We all went to the neighbour’s home. As soon as we entered, we sensed a heavy atmosphere. We prayed together. His eyes looked frightening to me personally, but when we prayed, he rose with his wife’s help and sat up; saliva came out of his mouth. In that moment we declared over him, in the powerful name of Jesus, “Rise and speak.” Several times he said, “Let me go,” as if something was holding him and not letting him be conscious. As we continued praying, the look in his eyes changed, and in his gaze I could see the eyes of Jesus!
That same day his wife gave her heart to Christ and received God’s salvation. I believe God will use this man to advance His kingdom. We were amazed at the power of Jesus and the miracle that worked for the disciples 2000 years ago and is still at work today with the same strength. God says if you have faith even as small as a mustard seed, you can move mountains. Amen—may God use each of us daily for His work and may we all be doers of His work on earth.
